Gatto Panceri

Gatto Panceri, singer-songwriter and musician from Monza, graduated at a very young age from the Milan Conservatory in classical guitar, harmony and composition. In 1992 he signed his first ten-year recording contract with Universal Music, participated in the Sanremo Giovani festival with the song "L'amore vaoltre" and began his prestigious career as an author at the same time.

Gatto has published 12 albums as a singer-songwriter and has also signed numerous lyrics and music as an author. Among the most important songs is the wonderful "Vivo per lei" (with 45 million copies sold worldwide), performed by the voices of Andrea Bocelli and Giorgia (for which he also wrote "C'è da fare", " It's about us" and 7 other songs brought to success over time by the Roman singer). He also composed songs for Gianni Morandi, Fausto Leali, Mietta, Sirya, Paolo Meneguzzi, Luisa Corna, Dolcenera, Orietta Berti, Massimo Ranieri, Raffaella Carrà, Mina, Marco Mengoni and many others. For Andrea Bocelli he also wrote the song "Sempre semper" contained in the award-winning album "Romanza". He is considered one of the most prestigious pens on the musical scene and also boasts a live career full of numerous concerts not only in Italy but also abroad: he is famous in Japan, Canada, Switzerland and Mexico, countries where many of his songs have been translated and sung in various languages. He participated 3 times as a singer at the Sanremo Festival and 7 times as the author of songs in the competition. Gatto often holds workshops on composition, lyric writing and vocal interpretation in various schools and some universities. He boasts a professorship at CET, the professional school founded by Mogol, and one at the Hope Music School in Rome managed by the Vatican. In 2001 he was called by Pope Wojtyla for a concert in St. Peter's Square in Rome on the occasion of World Family Day.
