Rockets

The Rockets are a French band that invented space rock in the 1970s and were among the first to offer electronic music. They already had one foot in the future when they released their first album in the second half of the Seventies: shaved heads, faces covered in silver paint, astronaut outfits and a sound that contaminated all the variations of rock with synthesizers, "space" effects and voices robotics. In Italy, the Rockets' appearance immediately received a triumphant response: records and singles (above all "On the Road Again" and "Galactica") at the top of the charts and dozens of sold out shows.

In September 2022 we saw the Rockets again on Rai 1 in the Amadeus program "Arena Suzuki 60-70-80" and in October 2023 on Rai 2. On 6 October 2023 their new album "Time Machine" was released, available on all digital platforms. There is a glorious tradition of covers in the history of the Rockets: from "Apache", a legendary song by the English Shadows, to "On the Road Again" by the Americans Canned Heat, up to the new album, "Time Machine", in which the sound by the Rockets contaminates and reinvents great classics such as "Jammin'" by Bob Marley, "Walk on the Wild Side" by Lou Reed, "Riders On the Storm" by the Doors, "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol and "Little Katy" by Pooh .
